Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a red background with a blue demi-sphere issuing from base, overall and throughout, a column surmounted above by two griffins, wings extended and facing each other and in base a diagonally crossed key, the head of the key as a wheel, ward down and a sword, point down, all gold.  Attached to the sides and below the device, a black scroll inscribed "GIVE LIFE - YIELD NEVER" in silver.

Symbolism
The demi-sphere denotes a globe, conveying the Group's worldwide operations.  The blue of the demi-sphere alludes to the home state of the unit, Michigan, translated from Ojibwa dialect meaning "large water."  The column signifies support.  The griffin, adapted from the Michigan Army National Guard insignia, suggests the branch of service from which the Group originates.  The double griffins facing each other pertain to the courageous and capable service members of the unit, while accomplishing any assigned mission whether during a national emergency or peacetime.  The crossed sword and key and the head of the key as a wheel, represent the sustainment, logistic, and transportation responsibilities of the Group.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 3 May 2011.
